HOME Investment Partnership Program

Each year, the City of Missoula awards approximately $400,000 tohousing projects and rental assistance programs that assist low to moderate income individuals and families secure safe and affordable housing. This money is allocated to the City through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Grant funding is competitive and is awarded to projects that can address local and federal objectives, which include expanding the supply of affordable housing, providing down payment and closing cost assistance to new homebuyers, and providing subsidies and deposits for renters.

Program Year 2019 HOME Grant Cycle

Each year, Housing & Community Development solicits feedback from the community on priority areas in the fall through anonline survey and community meeting. This information is presented at an application workshop in January. The grant application process and all relevant guidelines and forms will be uploaded in late January 2019.
