The Montana Department of Natural Resources & Conservation (DNRC), together with Missoula County and City of Missoula, are working to re-map the Clark Fork and Bitterroot Rivers to provide the community with updated floodplain boundaries and base flood elevations. Updated floodplain maps will depict the latest, most accurate flood risk data, and will eventually replace the existing floodplain maps which are based on data from the 1970s.
