Guiding Mission
Provide a comfortable and playful learning environment that fosters the development of well-rounded swimmers proficient in all four competitive strokes and promotes swimming as essential to an active and healthy lifestyle.
The Aquatics Academy structure works within the guiding framework of the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program but streamlines the learning process by identifying schools of learning that allow students to have success through focused instruction. The Academy includes Parent / Tot and Preschool, Swim School, Stroke School, and Adult Lessons.

Aquatics Academy Philosophy & Guarantee
Parks and Recreation's Aquatics Academy provides high-quality and affordable instruction. The shallow water at our facilities provides comfort for those who are just adjusting to the aquatic environment. Our instructors work to provide a playful learning environment so that students look forward to their classes and learn through focused fun.
Parents are welcome on deck the entire session of lessons, and lesson supervisors are available to field any questions or comments. Best of all, Aquatics Academy swim lessons are guaranteed. Students, ages seven and older, will be able to swim five yards on their front and five yards on their back by the end of the session, or lessons are free until they can.
Family Locker Rooms
Avoid the uncertainty of sending your child through the locker room alone. Our family locker rooms allow you to keep your children close at hand.
Private Swim Lessons
Private lessons are set up on an individual basis and focused on your swimmer’s specific needs. Complete our Private Lesson Request Form, phone 721-7275, or stop by Currents to request small-group or individual private lessons.

- $30 for one-on-one lessons
- $35 for semi-private lessons (2 students/instructor)
- $40 for small group (3-5 students/instructor)
