Each year, the City of Missoula awards approximately $500,000 in CDBG funds to housing and community development projects that support low-income residents and approximately $300,000 in HOME funds to housing projects that assist low- to moderate-income Missoulians secure safe and affordable homes. The Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) supports consumer housing services programs, construction and rehabilitation of rental and homeowner housing, and development of accessory dwelling units. Funding levels available in the Affordable Housing Fund vary each year, depending on the annual budget process.

Program Year 2021 Project Outcomes
Our Program Year runs from July 1st – June 30th. These timeframes are subject to change.
The competitive Unified Application cycle is currently in the Funding Decision/Preparing phase for Program Year 2022, which runs July 1st, 2022, through June 30th, 2023.
Please watch for updated competitive cycle application materials toward the end of this calendar year for Program Year 2023 funding.
