18.04.010
Intent and applicability of provisions. The
ordinance codified in this chapter was passed in order to
comply with the Montana Floodplain and Floodway Management Act (Chapter 5,
Title 76, MCA), and to ensure compliance with the requirements for the
continued participation by the city of Missoula in the National Flood Insurance
Program. Land use regulations which are hereby adopted are to be applied to all
identified one‑hundred‑year floodplains within the city. (Ord.

18.04.020 Floodplain
regulations adopted by reference.
This
section adopts the set of comprehensive floodplain regulations, attached as Exhibit
A, for identified one‑hundred‑year floodplains within the city.
The regulations shall be on file with the city clerk and the floodplain
administrator. Identification of one‑hundred‑year floodplain is
based on the city of Missoula Flood Insurance Study, dated March 7, 2019. (Ord. 3726, 2023; Ord. 3696, 2022; Ord.
