The Missoula Fire Department (MFD) responds to all EMS calls within the City of Missoula. These calls encompass roughly 70% of our responses.
Our crews are all required, upon hire, to be trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) and around 30% of our operations staff are also trained paramedics; all are licensed through the Montana State Board of Medical Examiners.
