Purpose

The Missoula Redevelopment Agency (MRA) fosters redevelopment and new development within Missoula’s Urban Renewal Districts by furthering the community goals and objectives identified in the Districts’ Urban Renewal Plans. Authorized by state and local law, the MRA partners with public and private entities to help improve economic vitality, create jobs, and encourage investment. MRA also participates in public improvements like parks, trails, streets and sidewalks.

  • Five members
  • Four-year terms

Appointment is by the Mayor and is subject to City Council confirmation. Qualifications include being a city resident, experience in finance, planning, and legal issues. Experience with property ownership affairs is useful.
