The Missoula Fire Department (MFD) responds to all EMS calls within the City of Missoula. These calls encompass roughly 70% of our responses. Our crews are all required, upon hire, to be trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) and around 30% of our operations staff are also trained paramedics; all are licensed through the Montana State Board of Medical Examiners.
There is a wealth of information on EMS prevention, and of course, much cannot be prevented. A few worthy sources for help can be found below. Please feel free to utilize these credible resources for your knowledge and safety.
